Unlocking station
Cradle configuration
Overview
By default, the shopreme Unlocking Station app unlocks any available portable scanner registered to the same store. For most stores, that is all the configuration needed.
Some retailers, however, want more than one Unlocking Station per store, with each station responsible for a specific subset of cradles. shopreme supports this out of the box, and it works with Zebra, Honeywell, and Meferi handheld devices.
Setting this up takes two steps:
Assign a wall ID to the cradle sockets on the hardware.
Point the Unlocking Station at that wall ID in the app settings.
Before you start
The cradle sockets that should belong to the same section must be physically installed together as one wall.
You need the Open Settings code from the Supervisor app to access the Unlocking Station settings.
Decide in advance which wall ID belongs to which station, so the numbering stays consistent across the store.
Step 1: Assign a wall ID to the cradle sockets
Zebra
Zebra handheld scanners let you set an ID on each cradle socket, made up of a Row ID, a Column ID, and a Wall ID. The shopreme Unlocking Station only reads the Wall ID to identify the cradle section — the row and column values are not used.
To configure a socket:
On the Zebra device, open the CradleUtility app.
Go to the Settings tab.
Tap Read data to load the current values from the cradle socket.
Edit the Row, Column, and Wall IDs as needed. Make sure the Wall ID is the number you intend to use.
Tap Write data and wait for the toast message confirming the cradle was configured correctly.

Repeat this for every socket that should belong to the same wall.

Step 2: Point the Unlocking Station at the wall ID
At the Unlocking Station, scan the Open Settings code from the Supervisor app.

Tap Select target charging station. Please note that the handheld scanners should sync with the shopreme backend before this information is updated and displayed correctly in the Unlocking Station menu. It can take a few moments.
Choose the wall ID containing the cradle sockets this station should unlock.

Tap Save.
Tap Exit Settings to apply the changes.
Step 3: Test the configuration
Once the cradle wall is configured, confirm it by unlocking every device connected to the station:
Scan the Open Settings code from the Supervisor app at the Unlocking Station.
In the settings screen, tap Unlock all.
Check that every expected device in that wall blinks and shows the welcome screen (unlocked).

Welcome (Unlocked) screen
If a device blinks when it shouldn't — or stays locked when it should unlock — its socket is most likely assigned to the wrong wall ID. Revisit Step 1 for that socket. If the issue persists, the issue could be related to an old token for push notifications on the device — try deregistering the handheld device and setting it back to the relevant store to refresh the token and ensure the config is updated.
