Employee solution: Supervisor app

Overview

Supervisor is the store employee companion of the shopreme Scan & Go solution.

This Android application is designed to provide employees with information about the current usage of Scan & Go and Self-Checkout in the store where they are located. This allows employees to monitor shopping activity and anticipate any needed action.

The Supervisor app is also the primary tool for employees to carry out customer age verification, spot checks, and setting up a vector or matrix. You will find guides with details and screenshots of these features in the articles on the left side.

Before updating the Supervisor app to a newer version, please review the Changelog page to make sure that your server and backend support any new features.

For reference, the first two numbers of the Supervisor app version refer to the minimum API level required by the backend.

Installation

The zip file you can download above contains both an aab and an apk file, which you can distribute to your employees’ devices as needed. You can safely assume that the versionCode will always increase as the version name increases (so the versionCode of “24.2.0” is guaranteed to be higher than it was for “24.1.0”).

App overview

The Supervisor app has two different looks, depending on the scanner type used to interact with customers: the Hardware Scanner and the Camera Scanner. This scanner type can be chosen in the Supervisor app settings.
