matrix self-checkout

Self-checkout (SCO) is a fully customer-driven journey: customers bring their selected products to the matrix, scan each product on the matrix scanner themselves, and then pay for them at matrix, using the built-in payment terminal on the matrix’s right side.

Once the payment is validated, the customer will see a “Thank you” animation on the matrix screen. The payment receipt contains an Exit Code that the customer will need to scan at the shopreme vector to open the gate and leave the store.

This journey is ideal for customers who do not use the Scan & Go app yet or who do not use online payment methods.

matrix hybrid Scan & Go

Our Hybrid Scan & Go journey blends the best of Scan & Go with the smooth process of self-checkout.

Customers can scan their products using Scan & Go and then can choose the option “In-store payment” among their payment methods. This generates a unique QR code on their Scan & Go app, which can be scanned at the matrix. The basket will be transferred to the matrix, the customer will see the total amount to pay, and the payment terminal will be activated. The customer can pay with a physical payment method (e.g., debit card) and will receive the receipt on their mobile client app. The app will display the Exit Code that the customer will need to scan at the shopreme vector to open the gate and leave the store. In this case, the matrix does not print any receipt as it is provided digitally.

This journey is ideal for customers who use Scan & Go but prefer to use a physical payment method or want to have a quicker checkout experience without manually entering the payment method in the app.
